Hi Guys, this is our very first Caburlesque newsletter, this is a project that we have been intending to do for a long time and it has finally come to fruition, we would love your help in forming the newsletter so that it is informing about everyone’s lives outside of Caburlesque as well. If you would like to submit any information or to help with its production please e-mail me on news@Caburlesque.co.uk. Have a fantastic June.

Britain’s Got Talent
On the 30th Of June Caburlesque performed to their biggest audience to date, namely fifteen million people on ITV1’s Britain’s Got Talent! Over the past few weeks a lot of hard work has been required of the company.
The BGT performers have had a crazy time drumming up support, rehearsing, staying in hotels and generally being really tired all of the time. While our production crew, have been organising, phoning sewing and generally being tired all of the time, ensuring that we don’t miss out on the opportunities that are thrown our way.
It has been extremely hard work, but what a routine! Having watched it live and on the television, I have had the opportunity to really experience it; the atmosphere in the studio was electric! I think that you’ll all agree that the girls looked stunning and performed the routine brilliantly.
Moving on from BGT, we must make sure that we can capitalise on it and use the experience as a platform for us to gain further work, while the directors are beavering away, if you have any ideas for avenues, that we may have missed please e-mail me (w_m_burke@hotmail.com) with your suggestions.
And finally the girls would like to extend their thanks to all of you in the company for your support and to all of the people who voted for us in the semi-final.
The mammoth quiz, which included a baby picture round (nice picture Tricia Clark!) was a huge success with the team of Michael Bagwell, Wayne Burke, Emily Peake & Tom Course (who arrived 10 minutes before the end of the quiz!) taking the gold medals. Also there was the unveiling of, the first ever in existence, CABURCAKE which was amazing and tasted damn good!
Thanks to all of you who made it to the party, and an extra special thanks to Emily Brown for doing the hard graft and organising it.
The performances have included 27 people (five of whom are outside acts) and a risqué performance by The City OF Westminster College first diploma in performing arts class. Many thanks must be extended the all of the staff at the cockpit (especially to Nic and Chris whose patience with my disorganisation was commendable) and to Michael O'Kelly (pseudonym God) also to our hard core audiences who were so supportive, and here's just a bit of what they’ve seen…
Caburdancing, contemporary too, Emily climbing up a hill, two very dodgy looking women, many Diva’s lament (only one actually on stage), light up bras and pants, jess in the wrong costume- in the wrong routine, some guy called Vincent, Chris was so cold he needed a scarf, whilst Cerys felt nothing, something a little special from a mini Spall, a male strip, a shout of “HEY PENIS” (notably not at the same performance) Kerry wanted a man, and there was a crash bam alakazaam from Erin, much much wickedness, a seven nation army, two queens of the OOOh OOOOOh’s, while Jo was chasing cars, Tricia was over the proverbial rainbow. There was one singer dancer face off, too many lovey solos, and a comic look at newspapers, meanwhile Rachel worries that again she doesn’t know what she’s doing, we’re all a bit drunk, and there’s a feather dance without feathers! … all lovingly kept together by our voice of god Michael O’kelly…Oh and Alf still can’t find Ralph!
As most of us are aware, Annie and Adam, run a fantastically successful dance company called C-12, so I thought I’d give you a taste of some of their upcoming events and how you can get your tickets. You can also visit their website at:
